Sunday Morning Adult Bible Study
In an informal setting, adults explore various books of the Bible and how they address the religious, moral, ethical, and social issues faced by Lutheran Christians today. Discussion/class topics are publicized in the weekly church bulletins and monthly newsletters. This class is led by various lay leaders of the congregation. Discussions are at 9:00 a.m. in the library and begin in the fall and continue through the school year. Bible study on your own during summer break!
Wednesday Morning
Bible Study
Each Wednesday morning we meet from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Mount Olive Fellowship Hall to explore the texts used in the upcoming Sunday service from the Revised Common Lectionary.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study
September through May, our Wednesday evening bible study meets from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. This year’s study is the New Testament books of Romans and 1st John. All are welcome.
Gather
Looking for an opportunity to explore and share your faith with others? Please join us for a low key, no experience needed discussion. This once a month study and discussion group meets in the Mount Olive Fellowship Hall from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on the third Tuesday of each month and uses Gather magazine from the Women of the ELCA and their bible study offerings as a resource.
Special Opportunities for Adults
Other faith exploration opportunities arise throughout the year and all are invited to join us. For example, Mount Olive recently hosted a conversation on Justice and Peace in the Holy Land from three faith perspectives.
In the past we have held book discussions on topics such as immigrants and the Bible, racism and the Bible, the life and times of Jesus, and much more.
Women’s Retreats
Periodically, the women of Mount Olive host a build your own retreat weekend held at the nearby Pallotti Center in Elkhorn. The retreats are a time of community, faith exploration, spiritual growth, food and fun. Be on the lookout for future events to grow in faith together!
