ADULT EDUCATION…meets on Sundays at 9:15 a.m. in the Library.  The Adult Ed Team will be exploring various books of the Bible and how they address the religious, moral, ethical, and social issues faced by Lutheran Christians today.  All are welcome…no experience necessary!  SUNDAY SCHOOL for 3 year olds thru 5th grade is held on Sundays at 9:15 in the Sanctuary.  No Education Hour on March 3rd.

HEALING THRU GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP…meets as follows:  Thursdays, February 21st, @ 6 p.m. AND Tuesday, February 26th, @ 6:30 p.m. at Mount Olive.  We are a group welcoming all who need a healthy place to grieve, share, & recognize that you are not alone in this struggle.


FAT SUNDAY PANCAKE BREAKFAST — SUNDAY, MARCH 3rd serving continuously from 8:30 until 10:30 a.m.  All are invited to partake in the Mount Olive Sunday School Fat Sunday Pancake Breakfast!  Free will offering received, with proceeds to the Mount Olive Sunday School Mission ProjectJoin in a celebration of God’s good gifts! Share in the fellowship and give until you feel good about it!  The Fat Sunday breakfast is the time when we at Mount Olive indulge in a feast of pancakes and sausages before Lent begins, as one common spiritual practice during Lent is fasting or abstaining from rich, fatty foods.


ASH WEDNESDAY:  Wednesday, March 6th, is Ash Wednesday.  We will celebrate the beginning of Lent with worship, imposition of ashes, and Holy Communion at 7 p.m.  You will also have the opportunity to begin your Lenten journey by using our labyrinth.  The labyrinth will be located in the fellowship hall from 5 p.m. until 30 minutes after the close of worship on March 6th.


CENTERING PRAYER INTRODUCTORY PROGRAM — Do You Want to Find Inner Stillness and Quiet?  Contemplative prayer is God’s personal and unique gift to us and has been a part of our Christian heritage for centuries.  If we are open to the gift of contemplation it may profoundly affect our daily life.  The Centering Prayer Introductory Program serves to explain the gift of contemplative prayer and deepening of our relationship with God.  The method of Centering Prayer will be presented and time will be allowed for practice of the prayer.  The program will be led by Contemplative Outreach trained presenters.  Discover the meaning of Psalm 46:  “Be still and know that I am God.”  When:  Saturday, March 9th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Where:  Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 211 Main Street, Mukwonago, WI.  Who:  Adults.  Cost:  Suggested donation of $15 (lunch included).  Registration/Information:  To allow for better planning for refreshments and seating, please register at Mount Olive’s website: under the tab “Prayer Workshop.”


VOLUNTEER NEEDED:  Eagles Wing Free Clinic in Mukwonago is looking for a part-time volunteer receptionist to join their team. The time commitment includes working 3 hour shifts 2-4 times a month. OFFICE HOURS/PRAYER HOURS:  The church newsletter and weekly worship bulletins remind us that Office Hours at Mount Olive are Monday thru Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. These hours when the church is open are also your invitation to come spend some time in the sanctuary for personal prayer and meditation.  Hymnals and pew Bibles can be used as devotional aids.  Groups that meet at church during these hours use the Fellowship Hall and Library areas so your meditation should be undisturbed.


WEEKLY TEXT STUDY:  Wednesday mornings 9-10 a.m.  Join Pr. Scot in learning and discussing the Bible reading for the upcoming Sunday worship.


THE KNOTTY KNITTERS…invites anyone interested to join them in the church library on Friday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12 noon to knit prayer shawls and such, share stories, and have goodies.  No experience


AT WORSHIP” VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.  Worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing.”  We are seeking volunteers in the following areas at our worship services:   communion servers, readers, ushers/welcome team, coffee fellowship, altar guild, and A/V operator.  Volunteers are scheduled approximately once per month.  If you are interested in serving, please contact the church office.


PHOTOS NEEDED AND REQUESTED!  Help us celebrate how you see and serve God in your life.  We want to share how God’s love is shown in the world through the people of Mount Olive with periodic slideshows shown in worship.  We need your photos of:  You and your family serving your neighbor.  Maybe it’s at your work, or school, or organization.  Maybe it’s at a planned event or simply shoveling your neighbors walk like you’ve been doing for years.  OR God active in the world: in the beauty of nature, and in the actions and faces of those around you.  Please send your photos with a brief description to:  This will be an ongoing project!  We would like to have at least 15 – 20 photos for each slideshow.


OUR HEALTH & WELLNESS TEAM… has a monthly service project of encouraging donations to the Kitchen Kupboard.  We ask you to bring your donation on ANY March Sunday – Canned Fruit/Snack Fruit & Muffin Mixes & deposit them in the entryway.  THANK YOU!!!


THE COFFEE FELLOWSHIP TEAM needs your help!  Coffee fellowship is served following the 8 & 9:30 worship services.  Mount Olive provides the coffee; the 8 a.m. server prepares the coffee and the 9:30 server cleans up.  Each server brings a snack and juice for their service.  Store-bought cookies are just fine!  If you are interested in joining this ministry or have questions, please contact the church office.  And many thanks to our current servers and those who have served in the past!
