TWO SUMMER WORSHIP SERVICES!  Through Labor Day weekend, you are welcome to join us for our summer worship services & Holy Communion:  8 and 9:30 a.m. Worship (no education hour during the summer).  

AV OPERATORS NEEDED:  We are in need of additional AV Operators for the 9:30 a.m. worship service.  If you are interested, please contact Pastor Scot, Tim Vandehey, Matt, or Gary Budzien. 

SUNDAY SCHOOL 2017-18:  There will be a Sunday School meeting on Sunday, September 3rd, after the 9:30 worship.  All interested are invited.  Teachers, helpers, and substitutes are needed and appreciated for the 2017-18 SS year.  Please contact Nicole Hunkel or Cindy Dobberke for more information.

PRAYER: Come & See:  What is prayer?  How do I pray?  Why does prayer seem so difficult sometimes?  If you ask questions like these, or if in some deep part of your being in the heart of your heart, there is a longing for a relationship with God, or even something more, then COME & SEE!  If you are simply curious about prayer and have a longing to know and experience more, then COME & SEE.  This is a course built for busy people who wish to be serious about their life with God.  Pray: Come and See is aimed at enhancing your prayer life whether you pray daily, have stopped praying, have just begun praying, have recently returned to prayer, or have never prayed in your life.  Every Wed. for eight weeks beginning September 6, 2017, 6–8 p.m. 

BLOOD DRIVE:  Join Mount Olive’s Health & Wellness and Service Teams and the BloodCenter of Wisconsin for a blood drive this Thursday, September 7th, 3-7 p.m.  To make an appointment to donate, contact the church office (363-8251) or sign up online at www.bcw.eduWalk-ins are also welcome. 

HUNGER TASK FORCE FOOD SORT -- SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9th:  Carpool from Mount Olive, meeting at 8 a.m. or meet the group by 8:45 a.m. at the Hunger Task Force (201 S. Hawley Court); returning to Mount Olive around 12:30 p.m.  We are returning to the Food Bank to sort donated food items and box them for distribution to local food pantries.  The entire congregation, adults, youth and friends are invited to participate, must be 12 years of age or older.  Volunteers must be 12 years of age or older; activity requires volunteers to be on their feet and closed-toe sturdy shoes must be worn – no sandals – and clothes that can get dirty.  The Service Team will provide a pizza lunch at Mount Olive following the food sort.  Hope you have join us.  Sign up in the bulletin board across from Pastor’s office. 

RALLY DAY SUNDAY…is just around the corner on September 10th, and we are inviting you to help us celebrate.   Two worship services will be held that day:   8 a.m. inside and 10 a.m. outside under the tent (weather permitting).  There will be activities for small children, a cake walk, and a potluck dinner -- beginning immediately following the 10 a.m. service.  Families are asked to share the following:  last names A-L will bring desserts; M-S salads; and T-Z hot side dishes.  In order to make cleanup easier for the people in the kitchen, please bring your food items in disposable containers or plan to take your dishes home to clean.  Beverages will be provided.  We also encourage you to bring your own lawn or outside chairs to use at the second service and for the potluck.  Mount Olive chairs will also be available for your use.  What can you do to help?  Here are some easy ways you can serve: bake and provide a cake (or cakes) for the cake walk, kitchen help (set up/clean up), and setting up/putting away tables and chairs before/after the service.  Watch for sign-up sheets on the bulletin board across from Pastor’s Office. 

RALLY DAY CAKE WALK:  The Mount Olive Rally Day picnic on Sunday, September 10th, is fast approaching, and the cake walk is back by popular request.  If you would like to provide a cake for the Rally Day cake walk, please sign up on the volunteer board.  Questions…please contact Betty Hinkelman. 

OUR HEALTH & WELLNESS TEAM has a monthly service project of encouraging donations to the Kitchen Kupboard.  We ask you to bring your donation on ANY September Sunday – Cake Mixes & Frosting and Back-to-School Snacks & deposit them in the entryway.  THANK YOU!!! 

MAXWELL STREET DAYS PARKING at Miller Pharmacy lot (801 N. Rochester, Mukwonago) -- Cost is $3.  Please support the HS Youth Gathering participants by parking at the Miller Pharmacy lot when you visit Maxwell Street Days at Field Park.  This year’s final date is September 9-10. The mission trip participants are so thankful to the Miller Family for their support of the High School trips as they allow us to watch the lot during Maxwell Street weekends.
