WALKING TOGETHER THRU GRIEF Walking through these tough situations with others can very often be comforting and healing.  If you are struggling with grief, we welcome you to join us.  Together, through reading, listening and sharing we can help one another to walk this journey of healing and recovery through your grief one step at a time.  The next session is on Tues., April 17th, at 6:30 p.m., at Mount Olive Library.  Questions: call Betty Hinkelman.

HEALING THRU GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP…meets on Thursday, April 19th, 6:30 p.m.  We are a group welcoming all who need a healthy place to grieve, share, and recognize that you are not alone in this struggle.

WATER WALK:  The Mukwonago Key Club has organized a Water Walk for the Thirst Project on Saturday, April 21st, from 9 a.m. to noon.  It’s a family event where people of all ages can walk the track at Mukwonago High School (the goal is 3.5 miles, since that’s the average distance people walk for water in areas without close access), play games, and learn about water.  All are invited to participate!

CROSS-GENERATIONAL BOOK CLUB:  What would the trees in your neighborhood say about you?  “Red is an oak tree who is many rings old.  Red is the neighborhood “wishtree”–people write their wishes on pieces of cloth and tie them to Red’s branches.  You might say Red has seen it all.  Until a new family moves in.  Not everyone is welcoming and Red’s experience as a wishtree is more important than ever.”  This summer the new Mount Olive Intergenerational Book Club will be reading Wishtree by Katherine Applegate.  Friends of all ages are invited to join us in sharing a thought-provoking book about diversity, inclusion, acceptance, kindness and the true nature of friendship.  Sign up in the hallway if you’d like to participate.  Books can be ordered through Mount Olive for $10 and will be delivered in early June.  We will meet to discuss the book in early August.  For more information, talk with Kate Graczyk or Cindy Dobberke.

OUR HEALTH & WELLNESS TEAM… has a monthly service project of encouraging donations to the Kitchen Kupboard.  We ask you to bring your donation on ANY May Sunday – Cleaning Supplies & deposit them in the entryway.  THANK YOU!!!

LECTIO DIVINA:  Every 2nd and 4th Monday from 11 a.m. – 12 noon.  Come pray together using the method of Lectio Divina.  If you are interested but not able to come during these times, please contact Betty Hinkelman.

SIMPLY GIVING:  Consider using Simply Giving to automate your support of Mount Olive’s ministries.  Simply Giving™ is an automated plan for church members to offer their first fruits to God.   For those who would like to sign up for Simply Giving, we now make this option available from our church homepage:  Those already on Simply Giving can make changes to their scheduled giving plan.  Thank you for your consideration.
